Lady Raiders softball continues winning ways over Southeastern Illinois

HARRISBURG, Illinois – The Three Rivers softball team extended their winning streak to 11 games on Tuesday by sweeping a doubleheader at Southeastern Illinois. The Raiders took game one by a score of 10-2 and won game two 6-2.

In game one, the Raiders (19-3) used a five run sixth inning to put the game out of reach. Audrey Rahlmann led the offense going 2-for-4 with three RBIs while Helena Garciea went 1-for-3 with a pair of RBIs and a run scored. Alyson Marcum came in to pinch hit to lead off the sixth and got the job done with a solo home run.

In the circle for game one was Makale Floyd as she only gave up two hits in six innings and struck out four.

For game two, Abby Wilson went 3-for-4 with a two-run homer in the sixth inning to put the game away for the Raiders. Ann-Marie Simpson and Karlye Happold also recorded RBIs in the game.

The Raiders will be back home on Friday as they host Region XVI foe Crowder for a twin bill at 2 p.m.
