Raiders' season ends on one-point loss to 'Hounds

JEFFERSON CITY – The 2021-22 Three Rivers men's basketball season came to a bitter end on Friday as the Raiders fell to Mobery Area in a heartbreaking 77-76 loss in the Region XVI Semifinals. The Greyhounds will advance to play top-seeded Mineral Area on Saturday while the Raiders will get on the bus to make the long drive back to Poplar Bluff.

Lamar Wilkerson led the offense with 27 points while Kieth Kiner had 20 and Kinyon Hodges recorded 14 points. For Moberly Area, Sincere Parker and Tyren Moore combined for 50 points with 25 each.

The Raiders were down by 10 at the half with the Greyhounds up 44-34, but the Raiders were able to come back in the second half, but couldn't get over the hump in the final seconds. In the game, the lead changed 16 times.

The Raiders finish the season with an 18-11 record overall and a 7-6 record against Region XVI opponents.
