The bottom of the lineup helped The Raiders capture an 8-3 victory over Carl Sandburg Chargers in game 1 of a doubleheader on Sunday. Trey Gardner, Brayden Campbell, and John Poole combined for five of the team's 10 hits in the victory. They scored three runs and drove in four.

Jackson Privett earned the win for The Raiders. The starting pitcher allowed one hit and two runs (one earned) over four innings, striking out four and walking three. Clayton Cawley took the loss for Carl Sandburg Chargers. The starter went two and one-third innings, allowing five runs on six hits, striking out one and walking four. Rex Tedder pitched one inning of no-run ball for The Raiders in relief. The righty allowed zero hits, striking out one and walking none.

The Raiders tallied 10 hits in the game. Poole led The Raiders with three runs batted in from the number nine spot in the lineup. The second baseman went 2-for-3 on the day. Campbell, Matt Gardner, and Poole each collected two hits for The Raiders. The Raiders stole five bases in the game.

Chuck Hathaway and Carter Ramsey each collected one hit for the Chargers. Kellan Keene led the Chargers with one run batted in. Brady Veselack stole two bases.
