The women's basketball team at Three Rivers College had a very successful weekend playing in Tuscaloosa, Alabama.
The team defeated South Georgia Technical College 70-41 on Saturday and Kilgore College 87-67 Sunday afternoon. In the Saturday matchup, Samyah Jordan led the Lady Raiders in scoring with 16, Amelia Corasaniti chipped in 15, and Kiera Neal scored 12 while grabbing eight rebounds.
Corasaniti also led all Lady Raiders in assists with five during the contest.
In the second matchup against Kilgore College, Jordan, Corasaniti, and Neal combined for 54 of the team's 87 points in the blowout victory. Jordan put up a contest high 26 points, with Corasaniti right behind her, contributing 18 points in the process.
Da'Naya Ross had 8 points and a team high five assists off the bench, further strengthening a stout effort from the Lady Raiders. With the victories, the Lady Raiders improved to 14-2 on the season. Their next game is Jan. 3., and they will travel to face Wabash Valley College.
The teams already faced one another on the season, with the Lady Raiders routing Wabash Valley 102-53 on Nov. 2.
