Danny Foster
Men's Basketball (1976-1978)
Danny Foster was one of the best pure shooters in Three Rivers history. He set a school record of 604 field goals in his 70-game career, which was still first all-time when he was inducted into the Hall of Fame.
In 1978, he was named an NJCAA All-American. Under his leadership, the team finished third in the nation, which led to the retirement of his number 45.
During his sophomore season, he averaged 21.8 points per game, while making more than 82% of his free throws. In both seasons, he led the Raiders in free-throw percentage. At the time of his induction into the Hall of Fame, Danny was second all-time in scoring at Three Rivers, with 1,461 points for an average of 20.9 for his career.
After leaving Three Rivers, Danny went on to play basketball at Southeast Missouri State University. He is married to Linda, and they have two sons, Brian and Chris.
